Fear Of Tigers – The Remixes Part II (Free Download)

Part 2 of the glorious gem that is the Fear of Tigers remix back catalogue is here, and sooo worth the wait! I’ve rediscovered how intensely I love his bittersweetly beautiful version of Ellie Goulding ‘Lights’ and rejoiced in replaying his recent remix of Bright Light Bright Light’s ‘Disco Moment’, as well as falling in love with a few lovelies that I HADN’T heard before, including the remixes of Vanbot and Studio Killer.

There are also great reworks of Sound of Arrows and Queen of Hearts, who Fear of Tigers will be performing with at 93 Feet East in London this Friday. I haven’t actually seen him perform live yet and the combination of all the acts on the lineup is IMMENSE, so I can’t wait for this one! Any London followers who like nu disco, house or electro – this is an absolute must-see!

Fear of Tigers – The Remixes Part 1 (Free Download)

Prepare to feel GOOD, because Fear of Tigers is giving away two free compilations of his best remixes to date, and the first one is here! Covering 2006-2009, these remixes for the likes of Pnau, La Roux, Mille, Visitor and Sound of Arrows demonstrate Mr Tigers’ talent for adding his burning bright, 80s-hued golden touch to tracks from a hugely diverse range of artists.

My personal favourite from Part 1 is his remix of Visitor ‘Los Feeling’, but his rework of The Sound of Arrows comes a close second. Which is handy really because it turns out that FoT, The Sound of Arrows and Visitor will all be performing in London at 93 Feet East on 11th November. Sooo, that’s 3 of my favourite nu-disco acts together in one venue in my hometown – doesn’t. Get. Better!!!

Malente – If I Was You (Ren Riz’s Class Of ’01 remix) (Free Download)

When posting this, awesome Aussie house producer Ren Riz asked “Do you like sampled piano stabs? Shuffling 909 snares? Sawtooth waves that go squelch when you poke them?”

And the overwhelming answer to that is of course: YES, YES I FUCKING LOVE THEM!!! SO MUCH IT HURTS!!!

This remix is brilliant. Proper old school house that’s so happy it’ll have you bouncing off the walls in no time! Oh and it’s also a free download – so double triple bonus points to you Mr Riz, straight to the top of the class!

Digitalfoxglove – Alone Together, Alone Forever (free download)

Recently I tipped Outlook, aka young up and coming British progressive producer Tom Newman, as my ‘one to watch’ out of the winners of Lowbit Records‘ ‘Glitter’ remix competition.
